On The Fly is a booking and management platform built for flyfishing clubs. Members book beats, accommodation, and other club resources from their phone. Committees run the whole club (memberships, waters, permits, pricing) from one place, instead of a stack of spreadsheets. Post-booking feedback turns every session's hard-won local knowledge into data the club can act on.

Free for clubs. We earn 5% only when bookings happen.

  • For your committee

One place to run memberships, waters, beats, accommodation, permits, and pricing, instead of three spreadsheets, a Word document, and a phone queue.

  • For your members

Book a beat, a cabin, or anything else your club offers, from a phone, with cancellation rules set by your club and shown at the moment of booking, not buried in a PDF.

  • For your waters

Catch and water-condition feedback comes back from every booking, so the committee finally has real data to manage the waters with.

From the founder

Edrean Ernst, founder of On The Fly.

I'm Edrean Ernst, a keen but relatively novice flyfisher, and a software engineer with thirty years of experience.

I built On The Fly because I watched my home club's committee spend more weekends wrangling spreadsheets and chasing bookings on the phone than they did on the water. The tools they had didn't fit how a flyfishing club actually runs. So I'm building one that does.

I'm not the most experienced angler at my club. But I've spent thirty years solving problems with software. On The Fly is what happens when those two things meet.

Your members.
Your data.
Your club.

  1. Your members' contact details stay in your club's account. We don't share them, we don't sell them, we don't market to them.
  2. Export your full member list any time, in one click, as a CSV your treasurer can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or anything else.
  3. If your club ever leaves On The Fly, we delete your data on request: fully, within thirty days, with confirmation in writing.
  4. We never share your data with advertising networks. There are no ad pixels on this site or in your club's account.
  5. Your committee can audit every change made to club data: who made it, and when.
